Why We Built Lupa
We kept seeing the same friction play out every day. Sellers posting products on WhatsApp statuses and Facebook — only to answer the same questions repeatedly with no structured way to manage demand. Buyers uncertain about availability, pricing, or whether they could trust the seller.
Then came the delivery problem. No reliable order processing. No tracking once a package left Lusaka. Buyers sending money upfront and hoping for the best. Sellers losing customers — not because their product was bad, but because the process around it was broken.
Lupa was built to fix that — from the ground up, around how Zambians actually buy and sell.

Caleb built Lupa after observing a consistent gap in Zambia's informal and semi-formal economy: strong demand, capable sellers, and active delivery networks — but no unified system connecting them.
Rather than replicating foreign e-commerce models, he focused on building a platform designed around Zambia's realities — mobile money payments, fragmented logistics, and the way everyday commerce actually happens.
